Eileen has been inspired by the quaint fishing villages that surround her home on the coast of the Black Isle. This necklace is beautifully stylised and is designed to be reminiscent of the ‘silver Darlings’ which was a fond name for the herring which brought much prosperity to the fishing villages on Scotland’s East coast. The larger fish charm has a very unique subtle frosted finish and the smaller fish is polished, together with the delicate pink pearl the necklace echoes the soft wintery landscapes that inspire Eileen’s work.
The necklace is 16” and the charms measure 10-20mm
After graduating from the Royal College of Art in London, Eileen returned home to the Scottish Highlands to set up her own Jewellery & Silversmithing business in the Black Isle. This location provides her with the perfect environment in which to work as she is inspired by the mystical interaction between man and the sea. Eileen is fascinated by ancient stories and customs and this is what inspires her when she is designing her jewellery and silverware.
